Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294) is designed for Linux administrators and developers who need to automate repeatable and error-prone steps for system provisioning, configuration, application deployment, and orchestration. This course is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.

Course Outcome
Upon completion of this course, participants will gain the ability to utilize Ansible for automation, configuration, and management purposes. Candidates will attain high level of proficiency in the following skills after certifying RHCE exam:
- Installing and configuring Ansible or Red Hat Ansible Engine on a control node.
- Creating and managing inventories of managed hosts, and preparing them for Ansible automation.
- Executing individual ad hoc automation tasks from the command line.
- Crafting Ansible Playbooks to consistently automate multiple tasks and applying them to managed hosts.
- Parameterizing playbooks using variables and facts, while safeguarding sensitive data with Ansible Vault.
- Writing and reusing existing Ansible roles to streamline playbook creation and reuse code.
- Automating common Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration tasks using Ansible.
Eligibility Criteria
Pass the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200) or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
RHCE Certification Exam
The performance-based examination for the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (EX294) evaluates your proficiency in managing multiple systems through the utilization of Red Hat® Ansible® Engine. It assesses your ability to execute common system administration tasks across various systems using Ansible. The competencies examined in this test form the core skills required for effective system administration across a range of Red Hat products.
Successfully completing this exam grants you the title of Red Hat Certified Engineer. If you decide to further advance your learning beyond the RHCE®, this certification can also serve as a fundamental step on your journey toward our highest level of certification—the Red Hat Certified Architect.
